Receipt book, 1762-1856 (bulk 1796-1849), kept by John, George, Christopher, and Theodore Kerner, pricipally recording rent paid (often in the form of produce) for a farm leased from Stephen Van Rensselaer, and, later, William P. Rensselaer. Additionally included are receipts for payment of taxes and payments made by Andries Bartell to the Kerner's for "sub-leasing" the Van Rensselaer property.
